Installation Manual for Inner and Outer Cage Repair Kits of Great Wall Cannon
1. Preparation: Prepare tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, jacks, hammers, crowbars, and a new inner and outer cage repair kit for Great Wall Cannon. Ensure the vehicle is on a safe and flat ground, pull up the handbrake and turn on the warning lights.
2. Remove the Tire: Slowly lift the corresponding side of the vehicle with a jack to a suitable operating height, and then firmly support it with safety stands. Use a wrench to loosen the tire bolts and remove the tire.
3. Separate the Half - shaft from the Wheel Hub: Locate the fixing bolts connecting the half - shaft and the wheel hub, and unscrew them with a wrench. Carefully pry with a crowbar to separate the half - shaft from the wheel hub, and pull the half - shaft out of the wheel hub. Pay attention to avoid damaging the dust cover.
4. Remove the Inner and Outer Cages: Remove the snap rings of the inner and outer cages, which can be removed with snap ring pliers. Gently tap the cages with a hammer to separate them from the half - shaft. Take off the old cage repair kit and clean the oil and impurities on the installation parts of the half - shaft and cages.
5. Install the New Repair Kit: Install the dust covers, seals and other components of the new repair kit onto the inner and outer cages and the half - shaft in sequence. Pay attention to the correct direction and position during installation, and apply an appropriate amount of grease. Fix the dust cover with a clamp to ensure that the clamp is tight and does not loosen.
6. Install the Half - shaft and the Wheel Hub: Insert the half - shaft with the new repair kit installed into the wheel hub, align the bolt holes, and install and tighten the fixing bolts.
7. Install the Tire: Install the tire back to its original position and tighten the tire bolts. Slowly lower the vehicle to make the tire touch the ground, and then tighten the tire bolts again in a diagonal pattern to the specified torque
