Installation Instructions for the Steering Gear Dust Cover of Tank 300
1. Preparation: Prepare a steering gear dust cover suitable for the Tank 300, tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Park the vehicle on a flat surface, pull up the handbrake, and turn on the warning lights.
2. Remove the Old Dust Cover: Locate the steering gear dust cover, usually at the connection between the steering column and the steering gear under the steering wheel. Use a screwdriver to remove the fixing screws or pliers to open the snaps, and carefully remove the old dust cover to avoid damaging surrounding components.
3. Clean the Installation Area: Wipe the surfaces of the steering gear and steering column with a clean rag to remove dust, oil, and debris, ensuring a tight fit when the new dust cover is installed.
4. Install the New Dust Cover: Align the new dust cover with the installation position and slowly slide it onto the steering column and steering gear. Pay attention to the correct orientation to ensure it fully covers the key parts.
5. Secure the Dust Cover: Use fixing devices such as screws and snaps to firmly attach the new dust cover to the steering gear. Make sure the fixings are tightened or snapped securely to prevent loosening.
6. Inspection and Testing: After installation, gently turn the steering wheel to check for any or abnormal noises, ensuring the normal operation of the steering system.
